Society of Oregon – Bonney Lamb Memorial Scholarship - $500 scholarship for a child grades 7 –12 designated as ‘at risk’ or
attending an alternative school. The scholarship is to be used for art

Rite Education Foundation Scholarship – Offers several $1000-5000
for Oregon residents entering an undergraduate at an accredited college or
university, made on the basis of student need. Consideration

Scholarship – A
$ 500 award to a senior from Albany, Lebanon, Scio, Sweet Home, Corvallis or
Philomath who plans to attend an Oregon accredited school of higher learning
full time, in an automotive related field.

STARS Scholarship – This is a $2500 scholarship administered by local
P.E.O. chapters through the state PEO organization for next year’s senior women
(this year’s juniors). Applicants should have strong academics, excellent

Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Family Scholarship
Program – (10) $2,000 scholarships, renewable for up to 4 years, to
children and financially dependent grandchildren of AFSCME members and

African – American Scholarship Listings – Come
to CHS and get the list from the scholarship drawer. It is a great starting
point for African – American Students looking for scholarships. But don’t forget to look at this list too,
because there are three scholarships listed below which are
for African –American students- the Black United Fund of Oregon, the Ron Brown Scholar Program and the Dr. Ethel Simon –McWilliams
Scholarship.
Asian
American Scholarships – The Asian Reporter has a list of scholarships for Asian American

Latino & Latina Student Scholarships- A
number of organizations offer scholarships specifically geared to Latino/Latina

OPPORTUNITIES:
5/14/12 Kiwanis Law Enforcement Career Camp:
For juniors and seniors interested in law enforcement professions. Students
will be selected through application process, must be recommended by hs
principal, two teachers and a law enforcement representative. Camp will include
introduction to law enforcement methods, basic enforcement, self-defense
skills. Tuition is $500, some local Kiwanis clubs may

NO DEADLINE Stay in School Scholarship - $4000 per year for 4 years of post-high school education is available to you if you are: 1) are you in a situation that could place you “at risk” of not completing high school and receiving a standard diploma, 2) are you currently 14 – 16 years old?
3) would you like to further your education and train for a career after graduation, 4) are you willing to accept a helping hand and work hard to accomplish the goal of graduation from high school with a standard high school diploma? You must be able to answer ‘yes’ to all four of these questions.
